Screen objects are used for labels, legends, colorbars a.t.l. Unlike regular 3D objects, screen objects represent a subtree of arbitrary objects which are always rendered on top of regular 3D nodes. Therefore, objects contained within a screen object will appear on top of the rest of the scene in the rendered output.
ScreenObjects come with basic interactive capabilities: they can be dragged around with the mouse.
Screen objects allow absolut values (pixels) or relative values (fraction of the panel size) for their size. They create a local coordinate system ranging from [0..1] in X and Y and allowing for the easy placement of objects like labels and lines.
