Visualization of replicator system's behavior
Ivan is an IT master student at the Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod. His field of activity relates to the development of automated tools that support scientific research.
In the scope of his master’s thesis he focused on studying a class of replicator systems, a bioinformatic approach to the origin of life. The underlying multidimensional equations model the selection process of individuals and entire species. Ivan’s work was devoted to develop an automated software to depict this process.
To graphically represent the replicator system’s behavior and allow for user interaction, he fell back on ILNumerics. With the help of ILNumerics he was able to create high-quality and interactive 3D visualizations. On top of that, the user is now able to choose from different initial conditions and coordinate systems, in which to display the replicator system’s behavior.
Ivan says that the usage of ILNumerics gave him the opportunity to create 3D visualization of replicator system’s behaviors of any dimension. He describes the ILNumerics visualization engine with the following words: interactive, intuitive and user friendly. On top of that, he states that the visualization engine helped to raise the visibility of the replicator system behavior.
